Supply subsidised LPG without Aadhaar’

The CPI city unit staged a protest at the district collectorate here on Monday demanding that the poor and lower middle class families be given subsidised LPG gas cylinders without insisting on Aadhaar cards and bank accounts. CPI city secretary Sk. Muneer said that most of the uneducated workers do not have bank accounts and Aadhaar cards.

Petroleum Ministry has created a confusion to deprive the poor people. They have made AADHAAR CARD mandatory for disbursement of subsidy on LPG cylinder purchase.

I am shocked with this decision.

Already, the common people are hard pressed by the restriction of subsidized LPG cylinders to nine per year. Now this AADHAAR CARD issue will be another cause of harassment to the common people.

It is the responsibility of the Central Government to prepare the AADHAAR CARD. Only 15% people of our State have got AADHAAR CARD. How will the rest of the people get their LPG subsidies if AADHAAR CARD is made mandatory?

It is also known that the Hon’ble Supreme Court has not favoured linking of AADHAAR CARD to disbursement of benefits under various government schemes.

We strongly protest this sort of arbitrary action on the part of the Petroleum Ministry to deprive the poor people of their legitimate right and demand immediate roll back of this anti-people decision.

For every matter, a new card is coming. Then how many cards will one have? Will one wear a “garland of cards” – Ration Card, Voter Identity Card, Health Card, BPL Card, PAN Card …?

I want one uniform card to cater to all provisions and meet all
requirements of the people.

जबकि भाकपा संसदीय दल के नेता समेत सभी बड़े कामरेड्स 'आधार कार्ड'द्वारा जनता के शोषण-उत्पीड़न और देश की संप्रभुत्ता पर आघात की ओर ध्यान दिलाये जाने पर भी नज़रें फेर कर मनमोहन सरकार के संकट मोचक को उनके बाद पी एम बनवाने की कवायद में जुटे हुये हैं ; तब हम मुख्यमंत्री दीदी ममता बनर्जी का साधारण जनता के हक में लिए गए इस निर्णय और समर्थन का हार्दिक स्वागत करते हैं।  यही तो है असली कामरेडशिप।नेल्लोर(आंध्र प्रदेश ),CPI के जिलमंत्री कामरेड एस के मुनीर साहब भी बधाई के पात्र हैं जो उन्होने जनता की पीड़ा को समझा। 

इस देशद्रोही  आधार कार्ड योजना को तत्काल रद्द कराने हेतु व्यापक जनांदोलन चलाये जाने की आवश्यकता है।
